GUIDING WELL INFORMED POLICY AND PRACTICE    

The University of Pittsburgh’s Collaborative for Evaluation and Assessment Capacity (CEAC) provides evaluation and assessment services for educational organizations, social and human service agencies, foundations, and other programs involved with children and youth.  CEAC currently serves as the evaluator for over 20 educational initiatives; including large federally sponsored projects, such as the PBS Kids Series, Peg + Cat, Propel Charter Schools 21st Century Community Learning Centers Afterschool Program and SUSTAINS, a program designed by the University of Pittsburgh to develop highly qualified middle grades teachers with expertise in STEM disciplines.

Congratulations to Wei Tang and Keith Trahan on their presentation at International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2019 conference on Making Courses and the Relationship with STEM Career Interest, on Tuesday June 26th.

Congratulations to Renata de Almeida Ramos and Keith Trahan on their recent presentation at American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2019 conference on How Does Integration of the "Maker Movement" into a School District Change Teachers' Preceptions of Their Pedagogical Practice? 

Congartulations to Emily Koren for winning a 2019 Notable Student Proposal award from the Eastern Evaluation Research Society. She presented her paper "What Can Evaluation Tell Us About Purpose? Exploring English Language Learner (ELL) Student Motivation to Attend a For Youth By Youth After School Program" at the 2019 Eastern Evaluation Research Society, May 6, 2019.
