GEES (2019-Present)

The University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering is conducting the Scholarships, Academic, and Co-curricular Supports to Increase Access to Graduate Degrees and Careers in Engineering research study. This two year, NSF funded, research study aims to support the retention of high-achieving, low-income STEM students into Master of Science in Engineering degrees and provide professional networks for those student. The study aims to do so through providing scholarships, mentoring, and industry internships to students. Fewer low-income engineering student pursue a Masters Degree after they complete their undergraduate education, so this project is working to break down those barriers. CEAC is working to evaluate the projects success based off direct and indirects measures.
