Security Assured Health Informatics Project (2016-Present)

Since 2016 CEAC has partnered with Security Assured Health Informatics (SAHI) program to evaluate the program’s effectiveness and successes. The SAHI program was developed by faculty from the University of Pittsburgh's Information Sciences and Telecommunication's (IST) program and Health Information Management (HIM) program. They have worked collaboratively developed curriculum enhancements intended to integrate Security Assured Health Informatics (SAHI) training into BS, MS, and PhD tracks within both of their programs. Specifically, this program has created a Healthcare IT track for graduate students in IST and a Health Security and Privacy track for students in HIM, while also embedding SAHI curriculum modules and experiences into preexisting classes. Through the addition of SAHI curriculum, the collaborators intend to address the need within the workforce for well trained professionals in the area of Security Assured Health Informatics.
